Javier Colomina: This bill is a step backwards and does not contribute to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration

NATO is concerned about the draft law passed in the first reading in Tbilisi, - this is how the Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Political Affairs and Security Policy and the Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina reacts to the adoption by the Parliament of Georgia of the draft law "On the Transparency of Foreign Influence" in the first reading.

"For Georgia, as a NATO aspirant country, it is important to have the right framework to ensure media freedom and civil society involvement. This draft law is a backward step and does not contribute to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration," Kolomina wrote on the social network.
