“Not Hollande or even Merkel can stop Putin”
“Yuri Vazagashvili’s tragic case has made it clear that if the authorities fail to punish the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law, these people will create more serious problems for them by committing crimes over and over again.
For some vague reasons, they don’t endeavor to solve different high profile cases; take Zhvania’s case for example. Presumably, those who committed this terrible crime are still at large and even in office.
It goes without saying that there is no room for such dangerous people in law enforcement agencies since they will always try to tamper with evidence and thus hamper our investigators in solving different high-profile cases,”- states expert Ramaz Sakvarelidze in his interview with the Kviris Palitra newspaper.
Zurab Vazagashvili’s case could have been solved before another unspeakable crime - Yuri Vazagashvili’s murder at his son’s grave – was committed. The meeting between Bidzina Ivanishvili and late Vazagashvili Simply served as a catalyst for this process. As it appears, the government’s desire to resolve the issue distressed the people who were involved in this as well as other terrible crimes,”- states the respondent.
“Let us now move onto the issue of Ukraine, where tensions are running immensely high today. Even by his statement “Russia does not want war” Putin seeks to freeze the isolated world which is led by the U.S.
Today it’s apparent that nothing on earth can stop Putin from putting his intentions into practice. He will not forsake his plan on the account of Merkel or that of Hollande.
Everyone knows that the Russian leader is a man of his word, even a slave to it and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. Frankly speaking, at this point I cannot see any measures that could possibly stop him from doing so.
To put it simply, I would say that resistance will bring them nothing, since the more they resist, the more blood enraged Russia will spill,”- concludes the expert.
“Fate smiled upon us” – Vazagashvili’s murder is solved
The inpidual who allegedly killed Yuri Vazagashvili has been apprehended. However, the suspect, Gia Sosanashvili, turned out to be an acting official of MIA and denies the accusation.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the motive behind the crime is unknown; however, it has already been established that Sosanashvili was somehow involved in it.
Relatives of the late Vazagashvili rule out that Sosanashvili personally sought vengeance against him and are sure that he was just following orders.
The former authorities are also sure that the Prosecutor’s Office has solid evidence; however, as they say, in this particular case, fate just smiled upon them because the suspect’s DNA was left at the crime scene,”- reports the Rezonansi publication.
A horrible tragedy rocked the village of Karapila on January 20, when a father was killed in an explosion at his son’s grave. As witnesses claim, on January 18-19, Sosanashvili was visiting his parents in the neighboring village of Sakorintlo.
Allegedly, on the 19th of January, he called former deputy head of the criminal police pision, Irakli Pirtskalava, who is now in custody facing felony charges. Reportedly, Mr. Pirtskalava was also involved in Yuri Vazagashvili’s murder.
Pirtskalava is said to have returned Sosanashvili’s call on January 20. However, as late Vazagashvili’s sister Manana Vazagashvili says, she does not know whether his brother knew the alleged murderer.
Gagi Mosiashvili, lawyer of the Vazagashvili family, is sure that Sosanashvili did not commit this crime alone, while Irma Chkadua, another lawyer, thinks that the suspect’s accomplice could have easily been one of Pirtskalava’s team members,”- says the paper.
Reportedly, the murder suspect hails from the village of Sakorintlo, Kaspi region, which borders on the breakaway regions. As locals claim, there is no other inhabited location between the villages of Krapila and Sakorintlo and it only takes 10 minutes to travel from one village to the other. Allegedly, Gia Sosanashvili visited his parents approximately twice a month. As Darejan Sosanashvili states, her son’s last visit was on January 19, a day prior to Vazagashvili’s murder,”- concludes the author of the article.
Will they deal a heavy blow to Kezerashvili’s Cartel?
Davit Kezerashvili, who has systematically used his high post and authority for private purposes, has always interested our journalists, while the law enforcement agencies have always refused to look into his business affairs. However, Kezerashvili and his entourage have always strained to monopolize outdoor advertising.
Today outdoor.ge one of the owners of which is Davit Kezerashvili is the only company with an exclusive right on outdoor advertising,” – reports the Kviris palitra paper.
In 2009, February 6, the City Hall led by Gigi Ugulava ripped the right of controlling outdoor advertising from the City Assembly. Shortly after this, the City Hall announced an auction for the permission on outdoor advertising. The auction was held on 2 April, while on 3 April, the City Hall gave permission to “Outdoor.ge” and “Magi Still Media” on outdoor advertising through a flawed auction. However, “Magi Still Media” voluntarily granted its permission on outdoor advertising to “Smod Advertising” that was associated to the “Outdoor.ge. Thus, in this way, the City Hall finally managed to monopolize an outdoor advertising,” – says the article.
“Like an outdoor advertising, oil market was also tempting bait for these people since it enabled them to cater to their voracious appetite. Under the Nationals, only five leading companies were left at this market. Kezerashvili’s GULF got hold of the largest share of this market shortly after it entered it,” reads the paper.
“GULF”, i.e., “San Petroleum Georgia” was founded in Nov. 2010 under the name of “Solon Oil Products” and soon assumed control of “Sentra”, “Eco” and “Magnat” petrol stations.
It’s noteworthy that the founders of the aforementioned companies have called loudly to the government to restore the crippled justice; however, their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.
By hook or by crook, Kezerashvili’s firm bested his rivals and created the largest vehicle station network,” – writes the author of the article.
Experts think that if law enforcement agencies look into this issue, they will find out what brought Kezerashvili windfall profits.
Some companies registered in an offshore zone are anonymous and their founders are unknown; their names are deliberately being kept under wraps.
Although it’s not a secret that these companies are being created for a sole purpose – to finance some political forces, including the National Movement.
Obviously, it’s good that the representatives of revenue service have entered Kezerashvilis’ companies. Think for a while, how can a man rise from poverty from affluence in only 2 years. Naturally, he could have managed this only at the expense of us, Georgian people.
The law enforcement agencies move to study the situation at the oil market and enter Kezerashvili’s companies can be the first step towards instituting legal proceedings against the billionaire former defense minister. By doing this, they will also deal a heavy blow to Kezerashvili’s Cartel,” – concludes the author of the article.
