“Another tragedy without a hero” – mother of two children found hanged

In the village of Kutiri, the Khoni Municipality, a young woman has reportedly been found hanged to death in her own house.
However, suicides have become so commonplace in Georgia that people are no longer moved by shocking reports about such tragedies. Moreover, we show indifference towards them.
Destitution and unbearable living conditions are what allegedly pushed the 41-year-old woman to take her own life. Just think for a while, in what a terrible situation the hapless woman must have been that she sought salvation in suicide.

- We have witnessed a really unspeakable tragedy. Abzianidze’s family has never led a luxurious life but this tragedy has literally crushed them.
This tragedy broke my heart. I would wish longevity to both fathers and mothers but its undeniable that when children lose their mother and a man loses his wife, the family is instantly reduced to rubble. It’s true that this woman’s children are not that young but they need a mother under any circumstances, especially when one of them is physically disabled…
What could drive a 41-year-old woman to committed suicide? Generally, people leading a carefree life don’t hang themselves. Obviously, unspeakable poverty is what drove her to take this terrible step.
The deceased woman left 2 children behind; one of them is an 18-year-old physically disabled girl who cannot go to school or even talk. Mother was always at home with her, taking care of her poor child, while father worked around the clock. He worked his fingers to the bone for his family but in vain. Some people cannot endure such extreme poverty, you know…

- As she claimed, her family has been left without social assistance and this put them in an immensely critical situation.

--Is it surprising? They would have obviously taken out loans. How could they have managed to survive otherwise? They were paying off debts and no longer received social aid; this apparently drove the poor woman to the brink of madness. So, when the hapless woman was left alone, she just hung herself to relieve the excruciating pain she felt every single day.

-- A neighbor found her. She entered the house and was instantly shocked by what she saw. The entire family has been broken to pieces. This horrible tragedy has shaken all of us as well.
