Expert Kakhishvili: the law enforcers must do everything in their power to hamper Saakashvili from organizing a rebellion in our country

"It’s obvious there is a gap between the Government and the President of Georgia – their relations are far from being harmonious. Moreover, the members of the Government have not managed to heal a rift between one another thus far. However, it’s also a fact that under the coalition government, everyone aims to heighten tensions, and those people who don’t feel themselves comfortably within the coalition, try to create a more comfortable environment here for their them by taking the President to task,” announces expert Kakhi Kakhishvili in his interview with the Kviris Palitra gazette.

“The situation is becoming more and more tensed, and the preparatory work for the UNO visit has made this apparent. Hypothetically, many more paramount visits will be planned in our country in the future, and to develope normal relations will apparently be a must between the representatives of the Government and the President’s Administration. As long as they are unable to make decisions that will be acceptable for all, they must form a working group that will involve the representatives of the both administration. The public does not obviously need these endless epopees dedicated to such nugatory issues. The Georgian people want the Government to draw positive changes in their lives; and these endless political spats will clearly brings them nothing good,” maintains Mr. Kakhishvili.

“This is not a mere political confrontation; this is more a personal problem than a political issue. When dealing with the problems of your people and country, you must obviously put your personal interests aside. We don’t certainly urge them to hobnob with one another but for our comment interests, for the sake of the Georgian people, these two institutions must be involved in a healthy communication. A number of people live a hardscrabble existence in our country and these political tit-for-tats only even more worsens the situation and besmirches the reparation of our country as well as the government. As for the Nationals, this situation obviously plays into their hands, and they do attempt to use it for their own advantage,” contends the expert.

“Having lost the elections to the Georgian Dream Government, the leaders of the “United National Movement” stated that they would always benefit from the Government’s faults and mismanagement. And everyone knows what their ultimate goal is – they strain to take over power; however, they are very well aware of the fact that they will not manage to attain this objective and return to power via elections. And these people know that the only way to power is a revolution. I would like to remind you 2002-2003 years when they prepared for the revolution – they endeavored to draw the people’s attention to the weak points of the government, they were provoking the people, contriving different schemes and heightening tensions. And today, the leaders of the National Movement are doing precisely the same – they are trying their best to spur the people to protest against the present authorities by setting them against our political biggies. However, they do know perfectly well that the people will always give a deaf air to their appeals and call for holding a revolution against the government. That is why, they are strongly expected to found a political center that will not be directly associated with the National Movement, however it will completely be backed and financed by them,” states Mr. Kakhishvili.

“Please, look back across the years – you all know that before the revolution of 2003, the National Movement strived for discrediting the state institutions and leveling them to the ground. Today they are trying to achieve precisely the same goal. I want you to remember that Kakha Targamadze was a greatly respected Minister under Saakashvili; however, when he moved to the left-wing party, his first victim to whom he dealt a fatal blow, was the Minister of Internal Affairs. As for the statements from Mr. Tchikaidze, his statements have been thrown as points of hot debates. When such statements are released by a minister and by an expert, they must be based on concrete operative materials. And more information must be passed on to the public regarding this issue — they must not obviously be left with an impression that the statements by the minister are of pure political nature… And if finally they establish that some corrupt schemes are truly being hatched today, the law enforcers must do everything in their power to thwart Saakashvili in organizing a rebellion in Georgia,” concludes expert Kakhishvili.

I appeal to those who pull us to peaces for issuing high bonuses, to judge the situation more realistically – Nodar Khaduri

"The members of the Government of Georgia think that gifting the public officials with fringe benefits in the amount of 2 400 GEL is an absolutely normal move. Even more, in the parliamentary majority, they claim that some people who are not versed in this sphere deliberately misrepresent the reality and aim to provoke our people by accusing the officials of indulging themselves in enjoying flagrantly boosted bonuses; they appeal to these people to judge the situation more realistically and hold back from ruffling the public’s nerves. As for our politicians and lawyers, they are reminding the officials that each tetri that is channeled into their pockets is taken out of the tax-payers’ pockets,” reports the Rezonansi gazette.

"The main financier of the country, Nodar Khaduri, presented the public with his arithmetic calculations as per which besides the monthly remuneration, each official is granted only several thousand GEL per month. In addition, Mr. Khaduri stated that everything is under the control of the Prosecutor’s Office and, in the wake of this, the amount of employment benefits granted to the officials have substantially been reduced. “We do control the situation and when we say that our 12 officials get 12 million GEL in 12 month, this means that they get 3 thousand laris per month that is 2 400 GEL,” states Mr. Khaduri.

“I am not for encouraging the employees by granting them bonuses; however, some of them who hold extremely responsible positions and who have to put their backs into their jobs do need encouragement. One million GEL bonus is really something huge; however, a bonus in the amount of 2 400 GEL is nothing much. There are a number of high-profile cases that enjoys great interest from the public and the people will be immensely glad if these cases are solved soon… Thus, I appeal to those who pull us to peaces for issuing these bonuses, to judge the situation more realistically, and finally they my even approve a decision of granting not so high bonuses to these officials,” claims the member of the parliamentary majority, Gia Volsk.

“It’s nothing more that shameful that our authorities have stooped to releasing such disgraceful allegations! They are disgracefully maintaining that an employment benefit in the amount of 2 400 GEL is not a big cash. Everyone must bear in mind that each single tetri they privatize are our people’s money. By issuing such statements regarding the Prosecutor’s Office, our Finance Minister is simply supporting this practice... This problem is systemic and it must be handled under any circumstances; the entire philosophy of issuing salaries must be changed to the core. Although our Government cannot comprehend this; we, the tax-payers take on the members of the government and want them to do a good job. We don’t want and don’t need the maleficent or unqualified authorities. .. And thus, if we hire the officials who cannot live up to our expectations, instead of allowing them to enjoy flagrantly boosted bonuses, we must get rid of them,” maintains lawyer Levan Alapishvili.

Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s brother urges the investigators to hold investigation on the charge of first-degree murder

"On September 15, the specialists will once again look into Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s case and will hold an expertise in which Mr. Kitsmarishvili’s brother will also be involved. Late Kitsmarishvili’s family urge them to hold two additional expertise that will hypothetically been carried out these days.

We would like to remind our readers of the fact that Erosi Kitsmarishvili was found dead in his own garage on 15 July. This tragedy is still enveloped in mystery, and a great deal of questions is still swirling round it. Only God knows, whether a well-healed businessman committed suicide or he was murdered. Reports are rife that his car has been subjected to a thorough looking over again; as his brother claims, carrying out this investigation was mandatory to solve the “unsolved” mystery,” reports the Kviris Palitra gazette.

“The item we have discovered in the garage instantly drew our attention. There were some stains on it; however, I cannot say what left these blots. They need to be subjected to a careful examination. The results of this examination will be promulgated soon. Holding all kind of expertise is paramount for us. We proved unable to thoroughly study the scene of the incident. I know that they discovered gunpowder in the car; this in not a sensation though; we know that Erosi was shot in his car… the investigators persistently insist that they are not entitled to release the results of the investigation by passing information on to us; we are not going to hamper them from carrying out the investigation; however, we must know the truth,” states Zurab Kitsmarishvili.

“I am looking forward to the final results of the investigation, and I am helping the investigators to solve the case as I can. I rely on them, and I do hope all questions still surrounding my brother’s case will be answered in the immediate future,” says the respondent.

To the question “the case has been instituted on the charge of driving a person to commit a suicide and if the necessity hold an investigation under another charge has surfaced,” the respondent answers:

“By all means; somebody could have easily ordered his murder… we cannot hire our private investigators as in Georgia it is extremely difficult to do this; that is why we completely rely on the investigators that have already started looking into this case. We have already dug up some evidence making us suspect that Erosi have not committed suicide; and we are still striving for finding out the truth…”
