Georgia in 5 top NATO states

At the NATO Wales Summit, after Ukraine they will discuss the issue of Georgia and as it has already become known within the package on “intensified cooperation,” our country will get a new “Gold Card” status. The aforementioned package will allegedly involve the opening of a NATO Military Training Center in Georgia, assistance from the North Atlantic Alliance in purchasing all the equipment necessary to strengthen our Defense capabilities. Georgian political experts have defined this move from the alliance as favorable for Georgia, however, not so effective for ensuring our security. It’s worth reminding you that the Wales Summit was opened yesterday and will be wrapped up today. Within the Summit, they first discussed the issue of Afghanistan; Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili has also been involved in these discussions,” reports the Rezonansi gazette.

“After Afghanistan, the representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance and the invited guests put their heads together on the issue of Ukraine and concluded that each NATO member country will inpidually decide whether or not to provide Ukraine with military back-up. “We continue to call on Russia to pull back its troops from the Ukrainian border, stop the flow of weapons and fighters into Ukraine, stop the support for armed militants in Ukraine, and engage in a constructive political process,” declared NATO Chief, Anders Fogh Rasmussen. In his words, free and independent Ukraine steadfast in its belief that a country must be founded on the Rule of Law is a key guarantee for EU security. As NATO Chief stated, he will support Ukraine in passing reforms and forming a powerful army,” says the article.

"Mr. Rasmussen also emphasized that the Alliance will distance itself from interfering in the affairs of the NATO member countries – as per him, it’s up to them to decide whether to send military assistance to Ukraine.”NATO, as the organization, lacks its own arsenal and military equipment. Thus, these countries must make an independent decision in this particular case,” announced the NATO Gen Secretary. As for Georgia, according to Defense Minister Irakli Alasania, they have in fact decided to bestow a package upon us,” reads the paper.

“NATO-Georgia package that has already been elaborated has also allegedly been approved by the alliance member states. This package includes the foundation of the NATO Military Training Center -- where the military units of the NATO member as well as our partner countries will be trained -- in Georgia; plus, they will send a NATO military experts Group that will monitor the package implementation process and will oversee everything related to this subject. And most importantly, in order to enable Georgia to repel any pending military aggression, within the package, NATO expresses readiness to help Georgia in purchasing all necessary equipment and the latest technology needed to reinforce its defense system so that it is in full accordance with the modern European standards. Thus, as they announced, Georgia has advanced to a new stage and is becoming a member of a new league,” declared Irakli Alasania. As for Minister for European and Euro Atlantic Integration, Alexi Petriashvili, Georgia has found itself among the “Gold Card” countries and this means that the countries that can coordinate with NATO have already been singled out,” writes the author of the article.

“Jordan, Finland, Austria, Georgia have already proven to be the most suitable and privileged partners of NATO. As you know, Georgia has made a big contribution to the international operations and in this way it has proven its compatibility with NATO. That is why, all countries that in any way stand out from others have been given a special status of being in the “Gold Card Group,” announced Minister Petriashvili. However, as our political experts allege, the taken steps from NATO cannot guarantee Georgia’s safety,” concludes the author of the article.

Petre Mamradze: now they are trying to prevent journalists from publicizing the names of those women that frequented the ex-President’s luxurious yacht

As it has become known in Greece, the process of declaring Saakashvili wanted via Interpol has not been completed and this has allegedly resulted in his immediate liberation. This was official information from the Ambassador; however, it will not be less interesting to know that Yacht Alioni costs at least 15 million USD. As you remember, not very long ago, rumors floated round that our ex-President purchased a luxurious yacht where he threw birthday parties for his beloved women and friends. It’s without question that the yacht will be registered in some other inpidual’s name; however, maintaining such a luxurious recreational yacht needs big cash. and obviously, a logical question immediately occurs in your head – by what expedients can Saakashvili indulge himself in enjoying the yacht?” asks Head of the Center for Strategic Management, Petre Mamradze, in his interview with the Alia gazette.

“It will also be interesting to note that some popular ladies have also haunted Saakashvili’s luxurious yacht. And as one of famous man informed me, now they are doing everything in their power to thwart journalists in giving out the names of these women. Allegedly, these women are Georgians; it would be a bit embarrassing press this man for the names of these ladies. However, I still dared to ask him what kind of women frequented the ex-Presidents yacht and he told me that the so-called “Saakashvili’s favorite ladies” were granted this “privilege” only. And you know one thing has also bemused me a bit – why are they dead set against publicizing the names of these women? It is public information, is it not?” declares Mr. Mamradze.

“Having dealt with a nuisance in Greece, Saakashvili has moved to Albania. Please pay attention to what type of country he frequents. I wish him success in Albania as well as in Hungary but our ex-Presidents endless boasting and allegations saying that he is surrounded with friends and the Hungarian PM is among them too is nothing more than a lie. I will tell you if you don’t already know that the Hungarian PM has recently taken the floor and announced that the time of liberal democracy has gone in Europe and this obsolete regime must be replaced with something more innovative and modern such as non-liberal democracy and as an example, he has brought Vladimir Putin’s regime. His speech rocked the entire Europe. Similar announcements from the EU member state leader would obviously shock the entire Europe; however, Saakashvili does not give great importance to this fact and remains proud with his so-called friends,” says the respondent.

“As for the scandal that occurred in Greece which won’t be lived down any time soon,it was immensely shameful – official figures definitely should not have issued the statement that they did. Do you remember in what an awkward position they put those at the helm of Azerbaijan? They are doing the same in this case too – these people should bear in mind that in this particular situation, they are not entitled to be so open and tell more regarding the Greece scandal than its leadership,” concludes the respondent.

Another landslide will hit the Dariali Gorge – Natural processes are becoming uncontrollable

"Forecasters are warning of heavy rain in the Stepantsminda and Devdoraki Gorge and as geologists claim, rainfall can result in another landslide here. The specialists describe the area around Devdoraki glacier which has collapsed two times resulting in the sliding dry mass and rock which blocked a highway bridging us with Russia as a high-risk zone. According to them, the situation here is unpredictable and the risk of a third landslide is really high here at this time,” reports the Rezonansi gazette.

“The Devdoraki Glacier can really pose a threat to us again; climate conditions, the amount of sediments, earthquakes can result in another disaster here. The situation will become immensely difficult to control if the gorge is closed as it was in May. No one can stop this process, however, information regarding the pending threats and dangers can easily be released beforehand. The members of our team that are in the area now are working precisely on this issue,” declares Emil Tsereteli, head of the Geological Environment Management Department.

“It strikes me that the resources that are now in the hands of the authorities are not enough tackle the problem. In my mind, creating a geological service and constant monitoring from cosmos is mandatory in this particular case. They must subject this matter to a thorough looking over and follow the process extremely carefully. Landslides are nothing new in the Devdoraki Gorge, and such dangerous places that are 3 thousand in number in Georgia must be dealt with the utmost care,” maintains geologist Sandro Tvaltchrelidze.

“Risks are, by all odds, high. The situation becomes terribly dangerous during droughts. However, an alarm system has been implemented in the gorge, and we do hope that landslides will not claim anymore lives here in the future. Generally speaking, Georgia is burdened with many such dangerous spots – they are more than 3,000 in number and all of them must obviously be treated carefully,” claims Nino Chkobadze, head of “Georgia’s Green Movement – the Earth’s Community.”
