The Nationals have drawn up a well-laid plan to throw the country into disarray – Kakha Kakhishvili

The recently occurred incident outside the Municipal Courthouse once again justified the allegation saying that the Nationals Movement is a belligerent force that will stop at nothing on earth to achieve its objective – for this purpose they will even throw the country into disarray and escalate the situation here. The members of this party always crusade against violence if violence is directed against them; however, they themselves never avoid oppressing their victims and subjecting them to violence when it suits them. The recently occurred kerfuffle can serve as a visible testimony to the fact that neither the rule of law nor the Prosecutor’s Office is worth a dime for this corrupt force. If anyone on earth dared and insulted the Prosecutor or Court under the Nationals rule, they would exterminate their abusers instantly,” declares Kakhi Kakhishvili in his interview with the Kvisris Palitra gazette.

“The clique of Nationals will not spare efforts to heighten tensions in the country. And in parallel to this, they will try to play victims. The youth wing of this corrupt party will try to besmirch the names of the representatives of the state institutes. The Nationals have elaborated an extremely well-laid plan to aggravate the situation in the country. The media outlets presided over by the Nationals will apparently help them in moving forward with their plan. They will put all options that have been in their hands thus far into motion. It’s not excluded that they will arrange sabotage in Telas and the companies like that. They have really hatched their corrupt plan; thus, the troubles are brewing and now it’s up to the trenchant policy of our Government to wreck havoc with the Nationals well-formulated plans,” maintains Mr. Kakhishvili.

“It’s without question that the Nationals will reverse nothing to place an indelible blot on the reputation of our country and Government. That is the reason why any kind of hasty statement or indiscreet step from our authorities will play into the hands of the Nationals and will give them a good pretext to even more discredit the present authorities on the international scene. This force is strongly determined to put the country out of order and in this way take over power again. Hence, our Government must be extremely circumspect and take all precautions to prevent them from achieving their objective,” says the respondent.

“Generally, the National Movement tries to bring the issue of political persecution to the surface and in this way deflect their responsibility of paying the price for their committed offences. The Nationals have succeeded in exercising their control on the Court via Kublashvili. Thanks to this man, they still manage to wield their influence on the judges and force them to render their desired verdicts. Clearly though, Ugulava’s imprisonment has demonstrated that their power has been diminished and the Court has been partially freed from their pressure,” says the expert.

“However, we are still faced with a core problem today– the pocket judges of the Nationals and those who have in their blood to meekly follow others’ directions have still remained inside our Court. And in my mind, the crudest mistake of our Government is that they have failed to pass truly substantial reforms in the country; they have also failed to follow through with their plans. As a result of their inaptitude to fully accomplish their responsibility, we have been faced with a court system where the Chairman of the Supreme Court is the person who must be held accountable for those unjust acts the Nationals did under their rule,” concludes the expert.

The Poti region is under the threat of potential flooding

“Hydro regulating turbine that bridged Poti to other regions of Georgia is in desperate need of rehabilitation. Under other circumstances, the entire city as well as the road which is of great strategic importance for Georgia and via which different goods are imported to different countries will be under fatal threat. This hydro regulating turbine that was built in 1960 has also served as a dam protecting the region from flooding. However, at this point in time, it is dilapidated and suffers from technical malfunctions. On top of that, the coastline of the region is in extremely bad conditions,” reports the Rezonansi gazette.

“The Poti Hydro regulating turbine that has also functioned as bridge was last subjected to rehabilitation in 2006. The bridge was calibrated for 1.5-2 tone vehicles, however, today the trailers of 30-40 tone systematically move along this bridge. As the engineers claim, this is detrimental for the bridge. Goods from the Poti port are being shipped by Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Iran as well as other countries. After this, it’s obvious that unless the bridge is reconstructed in the immediate future, it will collapse under any circumstance and a catastrophe in the region will be imminent. In the wake of this, the city of Poti will be flooded, the road of paramount trans-regional importance will be blocked and after all this, Georgia’s economy will undoubtedly fall off the proverbial cliff. As for the rehabilitation work, our Government will need to deplete our budget by 30 million GEL to reconstruct the bridge,” the article says.

"This object is of paramount strategic importance; and any obstruction preventing it from normally functioning will be detrimental for the Poti port, and this, in its turn, will batter the country’s economy. In the wake of this, we may easily lose tens of millions of GEL. This will also make the dark social background of the Poti region even darker – an x-number of the residents of Poti will lose their jobs, the only source of income; their property, livelihood as well as the city’s infrastructure will also be endangered,” maintains expert of economy, Emzar Jgeneraia.

“This problem may morph into catastrophe one day if left unattended. The City Hall is actively working on this matter though. A special Commission specializing in this issue has already been formed…It’s without question that they must build a new bridge that will be calibrated for heavier vehicles and loads; and not only the Georgian Government must take an intense interest in this issue, but Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s authorities must also adopt all the necessary measures to get past this problem, as this bridge is of vital significance for Georgia as well as the entire region, “announces Gocha Dolbaia, secretary of the Poti City Hall Chairperson.

A new political scandal will rock Georgia – a new horrible crime which concerns Saakshvili’s family members as well as the brothers Kublashvili will surface soon -- Giorgi Kapanadze

“Thank God, our judge has handed down a just verdict to which our people have been impatiently looking forward to thus far. I am not the only witness in this case – the video material spread by the Prosecutor’s Office features those people who personally attended the meeting between Mr. Ghoniashvili and me. They have witnessed everything – they saw how these people made me finalize a fictitious agreement on the bases of which a million and a half GEL was to be channeled to the National Movement party. However, Ghonaishvili managed to transfer only 760,000 laris to their treasury. He was apprehended while trying to bring the rest of the money to their bosses,” announces, a witness Giorgi Kapanadze, in his interview with the Kviris Palitra gazette.

“I wan involved in this case and I had to deal with Gigi Ugulava personally. On June 30, when as many as 600,000 USD had already been transferred to their bank account, Mr. Ugulava and I were at a basketball match. This man was extremely grateful to me and promised to always stand by me. By this time, I had already been involved in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, which already had gotten hold of the faked agreement signed by Director of Kezerashvili’s lottery Company, Alexandre Gogokhia. In addition to this, video material featuring the meetings between Ghoniashvili and me has been entered into the case. In this very video footage, Ghoniashvili is taking the lid of their scheme by stating that the money is being transferred by Mr. Kezerashvili. He also repeatedly mentions Ugulava and puts other compromising materials on the table,” maintains Giorgi Kpanadze.

“After this scheme had been publicized, they issued different kinds of threats; however, I’d better bite my tongue here. Why upset my family members and relatives? Ugulava did not contact me; these threats were issued on his behalf though. Simply think for a while, about how many Georgian families were pulverized by the National Movement; how many of them sustained irrecoverable harm because of them; and today atop the rostrum, these thugs are releasing different statements imbued with blatant cynicism and… by doing this, they are sneering at us, their own people... They have not managed to jail Mr. Ugulava thus far though. And do you know to whom he must pay tribute for this? By all odds, he must be grateful to Kbilashvili,” asserts the respondent.

"The Law enforcers presented such strong and reliable evidence against Gigi Ugulava that the judge could not have covered for him any longer. However, the Nationals employed all leverages in their hands to pile pressure on the judge; they even dared to protest against Ugulava’s incarceration. .. You probably remember how the former parliamentarian Temur Charkviani committed suicide; the very Nationals must be held accountable for this tragedy. Do you see to what they pushed their own people? If these people had a grain of honesty they would voluntarily give themselves up. Anyway, an outraged mob may easily get even with them in streets one day… As for me, I could not miss this unique possibility to denounce this profligate power. I know for sure that other businessman will follow my lead soon … and in the immediate future, a new political scandal will rock Georgia – a new horrible crime which concerns Saakshvili’s family members as well as the brothers Kublashvili will surface soon.
