When Bidzina Ivanishvili considers an issue important, he does not shy away from publicly declaring that he is the one who truly makes the decisions in this country. With this statement, Salome Samadashvili, a leader of the Lelo – Strong Georgia party, commented on the meeting between Bidzina Ivanishvili—the Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream party—and the Israeli Ambassador.

According to Samadashvili, a political system and regime like the one currently in place in Georgia does not exist anywhere else in the world.

“I do not know the topic of the meeting, but it demonstrates one thing: when Ivanishvili considers an issue important, he does not hesitate to publicly signal that he is the true decision-maker in this country—even though, in all other circumstances, he tries to step aside and suggest that someone like Kobakhidze—or, previously, Garibashvili or Bakhtadze—is the one running the country.

This mockery of the Georgian people must come to an end. A political system and regime like this exist nowhere else in the world. Ivanishvili must understand that he—personally—will bear political responsibility for everything currently happening in our country,” stated Salome Samadashvili.

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chairman of Georgian Dream, met with the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia, Walid Abu Haya today.

According to Georgian Dream, during the meeting held at the party’s central office, the two sides discussed the close cooperation between the two nations and the positive momentum observed across various sectors of this relationship. “Emphasis was placed on the 26-century-long relationship between Georgia and Israel, as well as the political ties rooted in the special friendship between the two nations. Attention was also devoted to the current global geopolitical situation, and the importance of achieving peace and stability through diplomatic means—for the benefit of countries and their peoples—was underscored once again.

Bidzina Ivanishvili wished Walid Abu Haya success in his future endeavors.
