Grigol Gegelia: Let the representatives of “Georgian Dream” look in the mirror and they will see what pedigree they have: they are brothers of Hezbollah and Hamas; at the constitutional hearing they are losing 200:0

Tomorrow, unfortunately, we will hear that Georgia’s European integration is finally over – I invite every “Kotsi,” every supporter of the regime and every hanger-on to show me even one single case when a chance opened for Georgia for more European and Atlantic integration, for national security, and “Georgian Dream” used it. Every time I will show them how they did the exact opposite, – this was stated by Foreign Secretary of “Lelo – Strong Georgia” Grigol Gegelia on PalitraNews’ program “Day’s Newsroom,” where he spoke about the European Commission’s enlargement report that is to be published on 4 November.

As Gegelia noted, “this is a Russian regime that does everything openly.”

“Tomorrow, unfortunately, we will hear that Georgia’s European integration is finally over, irreversibly for as long as this regime rules. It has long been paused, ever since the authorities paused it on 28 November 2024. Qualitatively this process is in a far heavier condition than a pause. In no expression, from no point of view is it moving forward; on the contrary, it is moving backward. The regime’s latest effort is to ban the political parties colored by a million Georgians – we are talking about four established, well-known political parties whose programs and political leaders everyone knows well. Society has been watching us for years; it knows whom it likes more and whom less. We are well known as political energies for the people. We did not appear yesterday or the day before. We do not even have to prove that we are not criminals. These four political forces are the strongest.

This is a Russian regime that does everything openly. I invite every ‘Kotsi,’ every supporter of the regime and every hanger-on to show me even one single case when a chance opened for Georgia for more European and Atlantic integration, for national security, and ‘Georgian Dream’ used it. Every time I will show them how they did the exact opposite,” Gegelia noted.

Regarding the statement by certain representatives of “Georgian Dream” that “we are no less European than anyone else, either by conduct or by pedigree,” according to Grigol Gegelia they should look in the mirror and they will see what pedigree they have – “they are brothers of Hezbollah and Hamas in spirit and in flesh.”

“I would advise Volski to ask Zakharova how it happened that she praised Kobakhidze’s political rhetoric seven times; to ask Zatulin how it happened that he likes the course pursued by Kobakhidze. How is it possible that a state which is openly your enemy and has occupied territories, which officially says that either you will be its slave or it will destroy you, at a certain time its official high representatives praise you? That means you are doing something against the nation.

Papuashvili was promoted precisely when he grabbed a female politician and colleague under the armpit and dragged her through the parliamentary chamber. That is my comment on Papuashvili’s European pedigree and human pedigree. Let them look in the mirror and they will see what pedigree they have. They are brothers of Hezbollah and Hamas in spirit and in flesh. That is their pedigree!” Gegelia noted.

He also assessed the messages voiced yesterday on Diplomat’s Day.

“To those Georgian diplomats who remained in the foreign service because of the corresponding high positions, I would say that they are no longer needed in the foreign service. For two years a special operation of Russia’s foreign intelligence has been underway against the national interests of this country. Some ambassadors chose privileges and comfort at a time when children are being hit in the face with 30-kilogram boots. They are no longer needed in the foreign service. To the diplomats who left the service after 30 years of foreign service I would say that they are needed by Georgia for the conduct of foreign policy in a new phase.

Such a phase will be very large and important when we replace the regime of the mankurts, which is already happening in Serbia, in Hungary, and tomorrow it is coming here,” Gegelia noted.

In addition, he also spoke about the case of former Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, who is charged with corruption crimes. As Gegelia explained, “this is an expression of what happens to slaves, and every subsequent slave should know that their future is represented in the person of Gharibashvili.”

“Irakli Gharibashvili is a deeply corrupt person, a very bad person. He has committed the greatest evil before the state. He is an expression of what happens to slaves. Every subsequent slave should know that their future is represented in the person of Gharibashvili. Next comes a free court and a transparent political and legal process cleansed of revenge against every traitor who today, openly in broad daylight, is committing sabotage and an attempt at a constitutional coup with the help of a foreign force.

The case that is in court in reality concerns ‘Georgian Dream.’ I am grateful to ‘Georgian Dream’ for having prepared this case. The next government will have this case already prepared by the hand of ‘Georgian Dream’ itself. Sharmanashvili and Gorduladze will have to change sides, move to the opposite side of the hall and speak to a free court.

In addition, I want to note that I have begun to suspect that ‘Georgian Dream’ deeply regrets opening the process on the ban of five opposition parties, which it opened on television. They are losing 200:0 in terms of PR. Recent history is not on their side,” Gegelia noted.

Regarding Gela Geladze’s departure from the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and his appointment as a member of the Supervisory Board of the “Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation,” according to Gegelia a mafia clan is rearranging itself according to mafia logic and it is a fight of corrupt rats.

“Geka Geladze was a cadre of Dimitri Shashkin. Somehow it turned out that I am the collective ‘National Movement’ and Geladze is the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and now he has been sent into a warm retirement. There is no stability whatsoever in this country. Imagine: you are the head of the State Security Service and then you are removed because the person who was protecting you is no longer in a warm position; you are transferred to the position of deputy of your own previous post and insulted, and even there they left you for only 49 days. A mafia clan rearranges and re-rearranges itself according to mafia logic. This is a fight of corrupt rats,” Gegelia noted.
