Levan Bezhashvili: I am confident that the opposition parties will be able to unite; these will not be institutional-organizational unions, however, when an active political process starts in the streets, every party will find unity

When an active political process starts in the streets, naturally, every party will necessarily find unity in this political protest, – this is how Levan Bezhashvili, a member of the “United National Movement,” responded to the future plans of the opposition forces.
According to his explanation, despite the fact that institutional and organizational unification among the parties will not take place, a common political protest will still ensure opposition unity.
Bezhashvili also noted that the ruling team is trying to completely abolish the pro-European parties, which is why the opposition will try to protect its interests and preserve the party status in the European Court.
“I am confident that the opposition parties will be able to unite in political processes. These will not be institutional-organizational unions, however, when an active political process starts in the streets, naturally, every party will necessarily find unity in this political process and political protest. The political process is dynamic; it always has a peak, as well as its decline. This process depends on what kind of public processes are taking place,” Levan Bezhashvili noted.
According to him, the Ivanishvili regime is trying to abolish not only the “National Movement,” but the entire pro-European parties.
“Our main task is to save the party and obtain status for the party. Naturally, we have no hope for this in the Constitutional Court, and we will try in the European Court to protect the party’s interests,” Levan Bezhashvili noted.
