Abesadze stated that she and her client will file a lawsuit over the dissemination of disinformation and slanderous information, as the reports spread through the media and social networks aim to damage Avtandil Bilanishvili's reputation.

"Throughout all this time, scandalous myths and non-existent information have been circulating, which have a huge impact on the public. It is one thing when a prisoner injures another prisoner, and this is completely unacceptable—we directly deny this fact. Their placement in the same cell certainly did not happen, and the investigation will establish this. As for this circulating information, which is also absurd, alleging that Avtandil Bilanishvili leaves the penitentiary establishment at will and walks around the city, this is a lie and disinformation being spread regarding him.

You know that he has a family and a minor child, and it is unacceptable for the public to talk about everything without having any grounds for it.

A lot of information is broadcast on television, and if anyone tells me that another prisoner was beaten and spreads information in connection with this, I have answers for that as well.
