Nika Gvaramia: Now is not the time to say that we are holding on; now is the time to say that we are growing stronger. If they cut off one head, ten more will grow in its place. We must be numerous—and our numbers must grow every single day

"Georgia Without Ivanishvili" — we are beginning today, and we absolutely need a culmination, on November 28 or in the days that follow. It is crucial that a great many of us gather on November 28, so that the wind cannot extinguish the fire. This is what Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, told the media near the first building of TSU (Tbilisi State University) before the start of the protest rally.
According to him, "this rally marks the beginning of a new wave, not the beginning of the protest itself."
"Clearly, the protest does not begin today; it started two years ago, on November 26. The core point is that this rally represents the start of a new wave—not the start of the protest. In the view of many—and in my view as well—this wave is called 'Georgia Without Ivanishvili'." Yes, everything has a right to exist, and everything is valid; the Georgian people truly deserve better, and we are indeed heading toward Europe—but we will achieve nothing as long as Bidzina Ivanishvili remains the usurper of power in Georgia. Therefore, our call is "Georgia without Ivanishvili." We begin today, and we must reach a culmination—on November 28 or in the days that follow. It is crucial that a great number of us gather on November 28, so that the wind cannot extinguish the fire. When a fire is large, the wind only makes it burn stronger; it is essential that there are many of us.
To begin, we need to see one another and come to believe that, despite the resistance and the fatigue, we are not merely enduring—we are growing stronger. Now is not the time to say we are "enduring"; now is the time to say we are growing stronger. If they cut off one head, ten more will grow in its place. There must be many of us—and more of us with each passing day," stated Gvaramia.
