Lasha Parulava: The remuneration of Georgian Dream high-ranking officials exceeds the pension by 41 times; this represents a social divide, inequality, and injustice for which Bidzina Ivanishvili is responsible!
Starting in 2027, the monthly remuneration for Kobakhidze, Kavelashvili, and Papuashvili will rise to 17,350 GEL—with each of their salaries increasing by 1,350 GEL—while the pension will stand at only 415 GEL. The remuneration of Georgian Dream high-ranking officials exceeds the pension by 41 times; this is a social divide, inequality, and injustice for which Bidzina Ivanishvili is responsible! This statement was made by Lasha Parulava, a member of the Governing Council of the United National Movement.
Lasha Parulava demands the repeal of the Law on Remuneration in Public Institutions and calls for the 395 million GEL allocated for salary increases for high-ranking officials to be used for the benefit of the people instead.
"Through our collective efforts, the anti-Georgian Georgian Dream was forced to partially meet our demands regarding pensions. Yet, at a time when pensioners can no longer cope with the rising cost of living, Georgian Dream is further increasing its own prosperity at the expense of the people.

In other words, the remuneration of Georgian Dream high-ranking officials is 41 times higher than the pension; this represents a social chasm, inequality, and injustice for which Bidzina Ivanishvili bears responsibility!
Amidst inflation and the soaring costs of food, medication, and essential goods, our pensioners often cannot even choose between basic necessities. Therefore, we demand the repeal of the Law on Remuneration in Public Institutions and call for the 395 million GEL allocated for raising the salaries of high-ranking officials to be used for the benefit of people.
This amount would make it possible to increase pensions by 120 GEL! The Russian oligarch’s government has stolen more than enough, and its high-ranking officials already receive high salaries!
Our demand is clear: more support for people, not more money for Georgian Dream’s corrupt officials!" stated Lasha Parulava.
Under a government decision, the pension for retirees under the age of 70 will rise to 415 GEL starting January 1st.
