Kakha Kaladze: We have been through a lot over the past 14 years: there were challenges, victories, and successes—and, of course, mistakes too—but one thing has never changed: the defense of Georgia’s interests and our responsibility toward the population

Fourteen years ago, the Georgian people made a historic choice and entrusted the governance of the country to Georgian Dream. Over these 14 years, we have experienced a great deal—difficulties, challenges, victories, successes, and, naturally, mistakes. Yet, one thing has remained constant: the defense of Georgia’s interests and our responsibility to our people. This is what Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of Georgian Dream and Mayor of Tbilisi, wrote on social media, marking the 14th anniversary of Georgian Dream coming to power.
Kakha Kaladze congratulates Georgian Dream members on October 1st and thanks each of them for their loyalty.
"October 1st—a day that left a special mark on Georgia’s modern history.
Fourteen years ago, the Georgian people made a historic choice and entrusted the governance of the country to Georgian Dream. It is impossible to speak about this day without acknowledging the special role of Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili. The political events of October 1, 2012—an undertaking driven by immense responsibility and effort—are inextricably linked to Bidzina Ivanishvili, his decision, and the people who united around him.
We have been through a great deal over these 14 years—facing difficulties, challenges, victories, and successes, as well as, of course, mistakes. Yet, one thing has never changed: our commitment to defending Georgia’s interests and our sense of responsibility toward our people.
For me, these years represent more than just time spent in politics or government; they embody daily hard work, a dedication to upholding the trust of countless people, and a profound sense of responsibility toward them.
Our greatest strength has always been—and will continue to be—the Georgian people.
I thank each and every one of you for your trust, support, and even your constructive criticism. I am grateful to everyone who has stood by us over the years and who continues to fight for a better future for Georgia today.
I congratulate the extended Georgian Dream family on this day, October 1st! Thank you to each of you for your loyalty, dedication, and the work you carry out with such a sense of responsibility.
I wish you peace, health, success, and continued effort for the well-being of our country and society!" writes Kakha Kaladze.
