In 2027, salaries of state-political officials will increase; annual remuneration of President, Prime Minister, and Speaker of Parliament will amount to 208,200 GEL

According to the initial draft of the 2027 state budget, the base salary in the public sector will rise to 1,735 GEL starting next year.

As a result, public sector salaries will increase by up to 8.4%, and the total wage fund will grow by 395 million GEL.

The increase in the base salary automatically triggers a rise in the salaries of state-political officials, as these are linked to the public service base pay and calculated by applying a legally established coefficient.

Consequently, in 2027, the monthly salary of the President of Georgia will be 17,350 GEL (the established base pay multiplied by a coefficient of 10), amounting to an annual total of 208,200 GEL. Based on the same formula, the remuneration for the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament will also become 17,350 GEL per month, or 208,200 GEL annually.

As for ministers' remuneration, a different coefficient applies—8.5—resulting in a monthly salary of 14,747.5 GEL, which amounts to 176,970 GEL annually.

According to this same formula and the initial draft budget, the salary of a Member of Parliament will become 13,880 GEL per month, or 166,560 GEL annually.
