Archbishop Iacob: How could we mistakenly bring Salome Zurabishvili in a country of Saint Nino, Queen Tamar, Queen Ketevan – it’s a shame

What do you want, why are you shaking Georgia like this? When the elections were over, many family members of those allegedly arrested came out to protest. Should you protest the government, or the people who refused to enter parliament after the elections? - Archbishop Iacob of Bodbe stated in his sermon.
During his sermon, he touched on the current events in the country and noted that "foreign countries are making statements that aim to escalate the situation in the country."
"61 MPs were elected from the ranks of the opposition. As far as I know, at least 50 wanted to enter the parliament, but they couldn't enter because of some of the leaders. When the leaders refused, they couldn't go against them and it's understandable to me. Foreign countries are constantly making some statements about us, to tense the situation and make us clash with each other, shouldn't we use our brains?! We have one Georgia, we must be together and learn to live together, not just learn, we must love each other, we can't go far with hostility towards each other”, he said.
He also mentioned the 5th president of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili.
“It's a shame, how could we mistakenly bring her in a country of Saint Nino, Queen Tamar, Queen Ketevan. I am telling her again: whose blood do you want. No one can beat us Georgians, no matter who stands against us, be it France, Britain, Germany, or the Baltics, what do the Scandinavians want, do they even know where Georgia is?’, he said.
