In addition to Tucker Carlson, such a statement was made directly by Donald Trump — he explicitly called the Russia-Ukraine war a so-called "proxy" war, which means a puppet war, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in response to a journalist’s question regarding American journalist Tucker Carlson's statement about the Biden administration waging a "proxy war" against Russia.
According to the Prime Minister, Donald Trump clearly stated that, in reality, the two sides of this war are not Russia and Ukraine, but Russia and the West.
"This is the reality that everyone already knew well — everything is out in the open. That is why it is especially important for this war to end as soon as possible. Naturally, a war between Russia and the West cannot have a winner. Both sides are nuclear powers, and therefore, this war cannot produce a victor. The war must end so that peace can be established in the world. I truly hope that the efforts of all sides will be maximally directed toward ending the war in Ukraine," the Prime Minister stated.
