The Supervisory Board of the Public Broadcaster has completed its investigation into the critical employees – they propose referring the matter to the Prosecutor’s Office

The Supervisory Board of the Public Broadcaster has completed its discussion of the issue concerning the critical employees.
At the meeting of the Supervisory Board of "First Channel," which took place on March 21, the members discussed the accusations made by Vasili Ivanon-Chikovani, Nino Zautashvili, Kaha Melikidze, and Gia Imnashvili.
The channel’s lawyer presented the board members with an extensive report, which chronologically reflected the channel’s coverage of events.
As stated by the members of the Supervisory Board during the meeting, the employees who opposed the management a few months ago are slandering them and have not provided any solid evidence. Therefore, the board members believe that these journalists acted with specific goals in mind and believe the Prosecutor’s Office should investigate the matter.
"I think it is advisable for the Prosecutor’s Office to study this issue, why these people acted the way they did and why these events are connected. If we do not address this, there will be continuous provocations. This should not be left as it is and must be seriously investigated. This is the personal, political, and possibly financial use of state resources; if someone took money or expressed political desires, it should be investigated," said Vasili Maghlaperidze.
