Irakli Kobakhidze: There is a plan, the situation is difficult, there are many challenges, but everything will be done to solve all the problems

There is a plan, the situation is difficult, there are many challenges, but everything will be done to work as hard as possible to solve all the problems, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in the Guria region after the end of the coordination headquarters meeting.

According to Kobakhidze, a very large part of the villages is cut off from the outside world, for which special equipment is involved in the work.

“Today we discussed the current situation in the region. The situation is quite difficult. Yesterday's snowfall has further complicated the situation, therefore, today it has become necessary to involve the defense forces, in connection with which a decision has been made. All agencies will be fully coordinated and mobilized to combat the disaster.

I will say it again, the situation is difficult. A very large part of the villages is cut off from the outside world, communication with a significant part of the villages cannot be established, there is a lot of work in this regard, for this, equipment has been mobilized in order to restore contact with specific villages as much as possible, and active work on this will be resumed from this moment on. We will also need to mobilize supplies, both in terms of medicines, as well as food and firewood - for heating, and we will work on this with a specific plan.

Overall, there is a plan, the situation is difficult, there are many challenges, but everything will be done to work as hard as possible to solve all the problems,” Kobakhidze said.

According to Kobakhidze, equipment is fully mobilized in order to combat the consequences of the disaster. As the head of government noted, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the rescue service and army equipment are involved in the work.

"A fairly large amount of equipment of various sizes has been mobilized, therefore, whatever resources could be found have been fully mobilized. The Ministry of Infrastructure, the rescue service, and military equipment have been involved. The equipment is fully mobilized in order to combat the consequences of the disaster," the Prime Minister said.
