Kakha Kaladze: We plan to rehabilitate Rustaveli Avenue, we will probably start implementing the project in May and by the end of the summer we want to completely finish it

Tbilisi City Hall plans to rehabilitate Rustaveli Avenue. As Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated, the road on Rustaveli Avenue is in poor condition, with frequent damage and road collapses. According to Kaladze, the work will probably begin in May. Kakha Kaladze made this statement at today's session of the capital's government.
"You know that it is important for us to improve the infrastructure in the city, specific streets, avenues need rehabilitation. I have said many times and I do not shy away from saying that we have a difficult situation in terms of communications in the city, therefore, where we start rehabilitating streets and avenues, of course, the first thing we do is to build underground communications. For example, yesterday, we were on Atskuri Street, which is undergoing complete rehabilitation and renovation, and the first thing we start with is the complete repair and renovation of the infrastructure below the ground.
I would like to provide some information to the population of the capital. As you know, we plan to rehabilitate Rustaveli Avenue. The road on Rustaveli Avenue is in poor condition, with frequent damage and road collapses due to the fact that the underground infrastructure is in a serious condition. As for the start of work, we will probably start implementing the project in May and by the end of the summer we want to completely finish it. The first thing we will do is arrange communications. The sidewalks will be completely arranged, adapted for people with disabilities, underground bins will be placed. Rustaveli Avenue will be completely changed, it will have a new design and will be comfortable in every way and, of course, adapted for people with disabilities," said Kakha Kaladze.
