Protesters marching from Sarajishvili metro to police station

“Down with the police regime,” “Fire to the oligarchy,” “Freedom to the regime’s prisoners” – these are the slogans of citizens holding a demonstration-march from the Sarajishvili metro station.

According to them, they will march from the Sarajishvili metro station to one of the police buildings, thereby protesting the “police regime” in the country.

According to the participants of the demonstration, they deliberately chose to hold the demonstration in the suburbs because “the unequal environment between the center and the periphery is felt, therefore, it is important for the protest to spread to all districts of Tbilisi and all cities of Georgia.”

“We gathered against police violence, against the social violence that strengthens this police regime,” the participants of the demonstration say.

They say that protests in the country will not stop until the following demands are met: those arrested during the ongoing protest are released and new elections are called.
