Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Georgia, which was on the path to joining the European Union and NATO, has turned towards Russia

I don’t want to express banal thoughts that Putin wants to return all the territories of the Soviet Union and exert influence on them, but he is doing it. People need to know the details, - according to the FREEDOM TV channel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the above in an interview with American podcaster Lex Friedman.

According to him, Georgia, which was on the path to joining the European Union and NATO, is turning towards Russia.

“For example, Georgia, which was moving towards the European Union and NATO, is completely turning towards Russia now. Despite the fact that they have a frozen conflict and the issue of Abkhazia, as we have Donbass, it is controlled by militants and a very beautiful part of Georgia is simply dead. The issue of a frozen conflict is when a country is not accepted into the European Union or NATO, and Putin is doing this. He turned Georgia around,” the Ukrainian President said.
