Poland takes on the presidency of the EU Council

Poland has taken on the presidency of the EU Council, the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU reports.

“As Poland takes on the presidency of the EU Council, we are ready for the next 6 months of collaboration, innovation, and shared achievements. Together, we will work toward a safer, stronger, and more united Europe”, the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU tweeted.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Poland will ensure the pace and quality of EU enlargement, both to the east and to the south.
