Athletes' protest march joins protesters in front of Parliament

Participants of the athletes' protest rally, which gathered at the First Republic Square, have joined other participants in a protest rally-march in front of the Parliament.

The participants of the rally greeted each other with applause.

The protesters have completely occupied the area in front of the Parliament.

They have banners of various contents and flags of Georgia and the European Union in place.

The participants in the rally are chanting - "Freedom to the regime's prisoners".

Their demand is that those detained during the ongoing protests be released and new parliamentary elections be held in the country.

Some of the participants of the rally have also brought various musical instruments to the site.

For information, citizens are protesting the decision of the Georgian Dream of November 28, according to which Georgia will not put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028.
