Kakha Kaladze, the general secretary of "Georgian Dream" and the mayor of Tbilisi, stated that the radical opposition will try to create tension and chaos in the country, but relevant services are committed to maintaining peace during the election period.
In response to the State Security Service's warning about the potential distribution of falsified recordings by opposition-affiliated groups, Kaladze expressed confidence in the ability of security services to uphold order. He noted that the current calm environment during the elections does not align with the opposition's agenda.
"The radical opposition will try as much as possible to bring tension, controversy, chaos into the country. However, our relevant services are always at the height of the call and will do everything to preserve peace in the country," Kaladze said.
He highlighted the peaceful conduct of the election campaign: "You see how the elections are going. The situation we have in the country is welcome, and whatever kind of election campaign is going on - calm, where all political parties have the opportunity to campaign without any excesses."
Kaladze emphasized the importance of a peaceful environment for voters: "I am sure that the population of our country will make the right choice, and it will be to maintain peace in the country and develop the country economically."
The State Security Service recently issued a statement warning that groups linked to political circles may distribute falsified video and audio recordings aimed at inciting conflict between government branches and undermining relationships with the Orthodox Church and Western partners.
