Last year, 281 new cases of mental and behavioral disorders caused by psychoactive substances and 1404 cases of mental retardation were confirmed.

As "InterpressNews" was informed in response to public information requested from the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, 159 new cases of schizophrenia were confirmed last year.

Statistics for some mental and behavioral disorders are as follows:

paranoid schizophrenia - 130;

long delusional disorders - 122;

Neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders - 11761;

social phobia-17;
