Public Defender, Levan Ioseliani met with the striking employees of "Evolution Georgia".

As Ioseliani explained, they will soon make a decision regarding possible discrimination. In addition, he explained that he will do everything to reach an agreement between the parties.

"From the first day of the protest, we started studying their issue on our own initiative. We also published several public statements, where we called both the employer and the labor inspectorate to resolve the issue. It is about labor discrimination, the possibility of expressing a form of protest and so on. Especially in the discrimination part, we will make a decision soon. You know that we cannot mediate directly, we do not have the mandate to do so, but we do our best to reach an agreement between the parties. What information they have shared with me, they are talking about the degrading working conditions, the alleged forms of discrimination, they are also talking about creating such an environment where the employees might be confrontational. Everything needs to be studied. The labor inspectorate has the authority for this, and we have the authority to deal with possible discrimination. We are actively working in this regard", Ioseliani said.

For information, the striking employees of "Evolution Georgia" resorted to the extreme form of protest from August 12. They demand more time for breaks, improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions in the workplace, safe and comfortable working environment, provision of healthy food in the workplace and food vouchers, improvement of the insurance package.
