According to the updated data, the volume of direct foreign investments made in Georgia in 2023 reached 1,902.2 million. USD, which is 15.6 percent less than the corresponding indicator of 2022, and 19.3 percent higher than the preliminary data of 2023.

"Geostat" also specified the volume of direct foreign investments made in Georgia since 2019.

"In 2023, the share of the three largest sectors (in terms of foreign direct investments) amounted to 63.1 percent. The largest direct foreign investment was made in the sector of financial and insurance activities and amounted to 583.6 million. USD, which is 30.7 percent of the total volume of direct foreign investments.
