Ministry of Economy: CCCG does not participate in the Anaklia port construction competition, nor is it a subcontractor of the companies participating in the competition

According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, a politicized campaign against the implementation of the Anaklia harbor project is underway.

"We would like to respond to the information spread in some media about the bidder participating in the investor selection competition in the Anaklia port construction project.

We emphasize that the company CCCG mentioned in this information does not participate in any way in the above-mentioned competition and is also not a subcontractor of the companies participating in the competition.

We would like to clarify that the Chinese-Singapore consortium China Communications Construction Company Limited (China) & China Harbor Investment Pte. Ltd (Singapore). On May 31, the Ministry of Economy issued a statement on the said consortium and its subcontractor companies, and we note once again that the consortium participating in the Anaklia port construction process is not included in the list of sanctioned companies. Accordingly, we believe that a politicized campaign is being conducted against the implementation of the Anaklia harbor project, including the involvement of specific media outlets," the ministry said in a statement.
