Social package for persons with severe disabilities and children with disabilities to increase by 50 GEL, from 340 to 390 GEL, assistance for all other categories of persons with disabilities to increase by 20 GEL

From January, the social package for persons with severe disabilities and children with disabilities increases by 50 GEL, from 340 to 390 GEL. The corresponding decision was made at today's government meeting.

"Members of the Cabinet of Ministers discussed the draft resolution of the Government of Georgia "On determining the social package". According to the change, from January of this year, the social package for persons with severe disabilities and children with disabilities will increase by 50 GEL, from 340 to 390 GEL. The financial assistance for all other categories of persons with disabilities will increase by 20 GEL, among them the social package for persons with significant disabilities will increase from 175 to 195 GEL. The budget is about 46 million GEL. Up to 123,000 beneficiaries will benefit from the increased social package," the Governmental Administration reports.

The members of the Cabinet of Ministers discussed 9 issues included in the agenda.
