During the two days, only representatives of the media who have the appropriate accreditation will be admitted to the Trinity Cathedral. The information is distributed by the Patriarchate. The said decision is related to the fact that happened yesterday, when the icon of Saint Matrona, on which Joseph Stalin is depicted, was painted.

According to their explanation, this decision was taken to avoid further misunderstanding and tension in the temple.

"Due to the act of vandalism that happened in the Patriarchal Cathedral of Sami yesterday, today and tomorrow the access of media representatives to the cathedral will be restricted without the appropriate accreditation. The said decision was taken to avoid further misunderstanding and tension in the temple," the information released by the Public Relations Service of the Patriarchate reads.

We remind you that yesterday, the icon of the Holy Matrona, which is located in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, with the image of Joseph Stalin, was painted.
