Aslan Bzhania: The Armenian government, under the influence of the West, makes statements that contradict the path chosen by the people of Abkhazia to develop the republic as an independent state

The current government of the Republic of Armenia, under the influence of the West, makes statements that contradict the path chosen by the population of the republic of Abkhazia to develop as an independent state, this is how the de facto president of the occupied Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, responded to the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan, in support of the unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence and democracy of Georgia.

According to Aslan Bzhania, these statements of the head of the Armenian government fundamentally contradict the fact of the "sovereignty" of the "republic" of Abkhazia. He also reminded the Prime Minister of Armenia that the Armenian people, who took refuge in Abkhazia from past tragedies, are treated with respect.

"Today, the members of the Armenian commune are represented in the central and local government bodies in Abkhazia, the Armenian language and culture are supported by the government, and the structures of the Armenian church function freely. Armenia has everything in Abkhazia that Nikol Pashinyan could not guarantee for the Armenians of Karabakh, who were faced with the collapse of statehood and departure from their native land as a result of the policy pursued. Moreover, the result of Nikol Pashinyan's policy was the violation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia itself," said Aslan Bzhania, the de facto leader of occupied Abkhazia.

Aslan Bzhania believes that, considering the current situation, "unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and democracy" are the characteristics that correspond to Abkhazia the most. The de facto leader called on the PM of Armenia to give up the mentioned rhetoric and to take into account the actual situation in the implementation of his foreign policy.
