Civil Aviation Agency says it refused ROSSIYA AIRLINES to operate in Georgia twice

According to the Civil Aviation Agency, they refused ROSSIYA AIRLINES to operate in Georgia twice.

The reason for this decision of the agency is that ROSSIYA AIRLINES is on the black list of the European Union.

Accordingly, regular air traffic in the direction of Georgia will not be carried out by the mentioned airline.

"We would like to respond to the unverified information spread by certain media outlets about the start of operations in Georgia by the Russian airline ROSSIYA AIRLINES.

ROSSIYA AIRLINES was twice refused to operate in Georgia by the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia.

On May 16, the Agency did not satisfy the application of the airline company ROSSIYA AIRLINES regarding the implementation of regular Moscow - Tbilisi - Moscow flights. On September 14, ROSSIYA AIRLINES applied to the Agency again, this time with a request to perform regular flights in the direction of Moscow - Tbilisi - Moscow, Moscow - Batumi - Moscow and Saint Petersburg - Tbilisi - Saint Petersburg, which was also refused by the Agency on the same day.

The reason for this decision is that ROSSIYA AIRLINES is on the black list of the European Union. Accordingly, regular air traffic in the direction of Georgia will not be carried out by the mentioned airline.

We would like to clarify once again that flights between Georgia and the Russian Federation are performed and will be performed in the future only by airlines that are not on the EU blacklist," reads the information.
