South Ossetia wants to join the Union State of Russia and Belarus, therefore Minsk's recognition of the republic is important for it, Vyacheslav Gobozov, adviser to the "president" of occupied Tskhinvali, told "Ria Novosti".

"We have a desire to enter the Union State of Russia and Belarus, this is one of our priorities. Therefore, we are talking about the importance of our recognition by Belarus, this will open the way to the Union State and a new horizon for the republic," said Gobozov.

According to him, "South Ossetia" conducts dialogue with various countries regarding recognition, but immediate decisions are not a priority for it.

"We are constantly negotiating with countries, I won't name them. We are working and we understand that the stage of recognition is not manna from heaven, it is only a working stage," said Gobozov.
