Opposition in Sokhumi holding a rally against the so-called government

An opposition rally is taking place in occupied Sokhumi. Radio Liberty is spreading the information about this.

According to them, the "national meeting" of the Abkhazian opposition is taking place in the square near the drama theater in Sukhumi.

The organizers and participants of the rally are against the "law on apartments, settlement in Abkhazia, distribution of Abkhaz land and increase in electricity tariffs".

According to Radio Liberty, protesters are holding banners with slogans - "Abkhazia is not for sale" and "Energy is the property of the nation".

Unprecedented security measures have been taken around the "government" buildings - iron fences, barbed wire and buses have been brought and installed. In addition to the representatives of the "law enforcement", supporters of the "government" of Abkhazia are also gathered near the "government" buildings.
