Alan Gagloev: I hope the day is not far when South Ossetia will join Russia

Alan Gagloev, the so-called president of the Russia-occupied Tskhinvali region, expresses hope that the "republic" will soon become part of Russia.

Gagloev is glad that "the desire of the people coincided with the geopolitical opportunity" regarding the union with Russia.

"The republic of South Ossetia also fully supported the accession of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation. We are glad that the historical moment has come when the people's desire to unite with Russia coincided with the geopolitical possibility. I hope that the day is not far when it will be South Ossetia's turn," he said.

According to Gagloev, the main ally of "South Ossetia" is and will be Russia.

According to him, the so-called republic has established constructive and friendly "relations" with the highest leadership of the Russian Federation, which "considers all problems and is ready to provide necessary assistance in political, economic and other spheres".
