According to Russian media, Russia starts supplying goods to Turkey through occupied Abkhazia

Russia started supplying goods to Turkey through occupied Abkhazia, Russian media reports.

Before that, the media reported about the arrival of the "first container" in Sokhumi. The media suggests that this is another Russian scheme to circumvent international sanctions.

The transit has been confirmed by the so-called occupied Abkhazia as well.

"A train with 62 containers has arrived recently. It was the transit of goods from the Russian Federation to Turkey. The train entered smoothly, there were no delays from the customs service. This is not the first swallow, there had been other transits too", first deputy chairman of the state customs committee, Alias Labakhua said at the press conference.

According to Labakhua, the train will take cargo to the Russian Federation as well.

"In accordance with the agreement between the leaderships of Abkhazia and Russia, the parties must ensure the smooth transit of goods through the territories of their states", Labakhua added.
