European Union granted candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina

EU leaders granted Bosnia and Herzegovina the status of EU candidate country. As President of the European Council, Charles Michel says, Bosnia and Herzegovina was granted the status of a candidate country today, which is a strong signal to the people, but also a clear expectation from the new government to implement reforms.

We remind you that the foreign ministers of the EU countries agreed on granting candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning of the week. At the moment, the status of the EU candidate country has been granted to Albania, Moldova, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
