The representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen in the area surrounding the occupied village of Artsevi. The State Security Service disseminates information about this.

According to SSG, the hotline was immediately activated in connection with another case of illegal detention.

"The co-chairs of the international discussions in Geneva were informed about the incident carried out by the occupying force.

Active efforts are being made to release all citizens of Georgia who are illegally detained in the occupied territories, using all mechanisms at the disposal of the central government.

Full responsibility for the fact of illegal detention of Georgian citizens rests with the occupying power," the SSG statement reads.
