Irakli Antadze: The main topics of the Ergneti meeting today will be the illegal detention of our citizens and the so-called borderization

According to Irakli Antadze, Deputy Director of the Analytical Department of the State Security Service, the main topic of the meeting to be held today in Ergneti will be the illegal detention of our citizens.

As Irakli Antadze stated before the 105th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, no serious incidents have been reported near the occupation line so far.

"The main priority at the meeting will be, of course, the issue of our fellow citizens who are in illegal detention, as well as the so-called borderization, which worsens the situation and damages the security environment along the occupation line.

At this stage, 6 of our fellow citizens are in illegal detention. As for the so-called trials, Vladimer Kaniashvili and Kakhaber Natadze were illegally sentenced to 3.6 years and 6 months in prison respectively. The struggle will continue and all our fellow citizens will surely return to their families, as has happened in other cases”, said Antadze.
