Adviser to the President of Ukraine says that Ukraine and Russia have reached a mutual understanding on the humanitarian corridor

According to Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the President of Ukraine, the Ukrainian delegation did not get the results it hoped for in the second round of talks with Russia and will continue the discussion in the third round.

"We discussed the humanitarian aspect in detail, because now there are many besieged cities, in which the situation is dramatic with regard to food and medicine. The third round of talks will be held very soon," Podolyak said.

According to Podolyak, "the parties reached a mutual understanding on the joint provision of a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of civilians."

"Also for the delivery of medicines and foodstuffs to areas where heavy fighting is taking place, with the possibility of a temporary ceasefire - during the evacuation period. That is, where the humanitarian corridor will be created, the fire will be temporarily stopped. For this purpose, Russia and Ukraine will soon establish a channel of communication for interaction and joint logistics procedures will be formed," Podolyak said.
