Five banks and three wealthy Russians hit by UK sanctions

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced sanctions against five Russian banks: Rossiya, IS Bank, General Bank, Promsvyazbank and the Black Sea Bank, the BBC reports.

He called it "the first barrage of what we are prepared to do".

There are also sanctions against three individuals.
