Russian occupation forces illegally detain four Georgian citizens near village of Adzvi

Russian occupation forces have illegally detained four Georgian citizens near the village of Adzvi in ​​Gori Municipality.

According to the State Security Service, hotline operating through the EU Monitoring Mission has been activated and information was immediately provided to the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions.

"The central government of Georgia is using all the mechanisms at its disposal to release the illegally detained Georgian citizens.

The Russian occupation forces are fully responsible for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions and along the occupation line. The harmful practice of illegal detentions is significantly worsening the security environment on the ground and threatening the stability of the region," reads the statement.
