White House Press Secretary: NATO member countries decide who is a member of NATO, not Russia

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says the issue of NATO membership is decided by the alliance, not Russia.

"NATO member countries decide who is a member of NATO, not Russia. And that is how the process has always been and how it will proceed. I think it’s important to remember where the provocative action is coming from at this point in time. It’s not the United States; it’s not Ukraine", - said Psaki.

Recently, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that he is committed to the clear statement of the NATO Bucharest Summit and its doors are open, including for Georgia and Ukraine.
