Occupation forces illegally detain citizen of Georgia near occupied village of Vaneli

Representatives of the occupation forces illegally detained a citizen of Georgia near the occupied village of Vaneli.

According to the State Security Service, the "hot line" was immediately activated and the EUMM has been informed of the detention. The incident was reported to the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions and international partners as well.

"All existing levers have been activated and work is underway with international partners to secure the release of the detainee.

Illegal arrests by the occupying forces are damaging the security environment on the ground and making life extremely difficult for the local population," the State Security Service said in a statement.
