Austria introduces full lockdown

The full lockdown has been introduced in the whole territory of Austria from today.
Under the restrictions, citizens are required to stay home, with the exception of those who go from home to work, to buy food or to work out.
Restaurants, bars, hairdressers and shops, where essential products are not sold, are closed.
The restrictions will last until December 12, however, the authorities say that the situation will be assessed in 10 days.
The World Health Organization has expressed concern over the growing number of coronavirus cases in Europe. According to WHO Regional Director for Europe, if the measures are not tightened, another half a million people could die next spring.
