Russia and occupied Tskhinvali sign so-called dual citizenship agreement

Russia and the occupied Tskhinvali region have signed the so-called dual citizenship agreement.

According to the RES agency, the "agreement" was signed by the so-called Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev and the so-called Russian ambassador, Marat Kulakhmetov.

The text of the document states that "representatives of one party may acquire the citizenship of the other party without renouncing their citizenship."

The draft dual citizenship agreement between the Russian Federation and the occupied Tskhinvali was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin in early August this year.
