US Ambassador to OSCE: Russian Army should leave Georgia; we would like to see a stable Europe, stable Caucasus, free and independent Georgian people

I know Georgia and its history. What I know for sure is that it's an independent state. Those are the people who do not wish to be part of Russia anymore, - stated the US Ambassador to OSCE, James Gilmore in the interview with Пограничная ZONA.

In the interview which was published by Unian.net, the American Ambassador also speaks about occupied regions and states that they are Georgian territories; and that any attempt to artificially draw the border breaks the principles of territorial integrity.

"People of Abkhazia and so-called South Ossetia can peacefully and freely live as part of Georgia and the USA unconditionally supports this. Russia cannot go and freely conquer these territories, put up puppet regimes and destabilize the whole Europe by doing so. This is not what we want to see. We would like to see a stable Europe, stable Caucasus, free and independent Georgian people.

Abkhazia and South Ossetia were parts of Georgia until the Russian Army invaded Georgian territories. Everything is simple: Russian Army should leave. Georgia's goal is to have a united country and we'll support this. Georgia wants to be a sovereign country and form its own future", - stated the US Ambassador to OSCE.
