The number of people worldwide infected with coronavirus has risen to 85 207, while a total of 39 495 patients have been recovered.

The global death toll from coronavirus has reached 2 922.

47 more people died in mainland China from coronavirus, according to China’s National Health Commission (NHC). That brings mainland China's total death toll to 2 835 since the start of the outbreak in December last year.

Another 87 people have died of coronavirus outside of China, including 34 deaths in Iran, 16 deaths – in South Korea, 10 – in Japan, 2 deaths – in Hong Kong, 2 –in France, Philippines and Taiwan – one each.
