Russian Foreign Ministry responds to ongoing processes in occupied Abkhazia

The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in connection with the ongoing developments in occupied Abkhazia and called on the parties to stabilize the situation.

“We evaluate the ongoing processes in this country as domestic events. We hope that the situation will be promptly stabilized within the law through a direct peaceful dialogue of interested parties, "reads the statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's official website.

Supporters of the opposition invaded into the building of so-called president’s administration yesterday. The protesters call for the resignation of de facto President Raul Khajimba and demand annulment of the presidential election results.
