Iran's Supreme Leader says people of Iran slapped America in face

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed the nation in a televised speech Wednesday, calling the overnight ballistic strike on US forces in Iraq a slap in the face for America.

“We slapped them (Americans) on the face last night, but military action is not enough," Khamenei said after Iran launched ballistic missiles on two bases hosting US forces in Iraq.

He also called for removing US presence from the region, condemning it as a supposed source of corruption and destruction.
